The Iraqi security forces announced today, Wednesday, that an explosive drone targeted Erbil airport, Kurdistan, in northern Iraq.
The road leading to the US Consulate in Erbil was closed, and warning sirens sounded inside the consulate, media reports said.
A security source said that the drone targeted the American base at Erbil Airport so the airport was closed.
