Several explosions rocked the Syrian capital, while state media reported that Syrian air defenses had intercepted hostile targets over Damascus.

A Syrian military source announced that "the Israeli enemy carried out, at approximately 23.03, Thursday, an air attack with bursts of missiles from the direction southeast of Beirut, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus and the vicinity of the city of Homs."

The source added that the Syrian air defense forces confronted the missiles, "and shot down most of them, and the results of the aggression are now being scrutinized."

It is noteworthy that on August 18, the Quneitra governorate was targeted by two Israeli missiles at the "Kirs Al-Nafl" site near the village of Hader.
