CAIRO, Feb 20 (SEE) - SEE is publishing photos of the official delegation responsible for launching the Egyptian Satellite “Egypt Sat A” after few hours.

These Photos are captured from Baikonur spaceport which is located in the south of Kazakhstan.

The delegation represents President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and includes the Advisor to Russian Space Agency Hussein Al-Shafei and Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, head of the Egyptian National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences.

Al-Shafei has previously stressed that the official launching will be live-broadcast via Kazakhstan TV and channel of “Energya”; the leading rocket-space enterprise in Russia.

An Egyptian-Russian partnership to manufacture “Egypt Sat A” took place after the former satellite, that was launched on April 16th 2014, lost in February the year after.

Regarding the new satellite’s usages, it will help in urban planning besides monitoring desertification phenomenon and trespassing on state land.

Furthermore, it will help in following up crop growth as well as identifying tracks of seas and rivers.

Egypt is planning to launch other satellites this year after the approval of the law of establishing the Egyptian Space Agency .
