Premier League clubs have stepped up their preparations for the 2026-27 season, with teams traveling across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States as they fine-tune their squads ahead of the new campaign, which kicks off on August 21.

Several clubs have already recorded positive results in their opening friendlies, while others are set for high-profile clashes against European giants and international select teams in the coming weeks.

Arsenal to Face Dortmund and Manchester City

Arsenal's pre-season schedule begins with an away trip to Girona on August 1, before facing Real Betis in Dublin on August 5. 

The Gunners will also host Borussia Dortmund and Como, before taking on Manchester City in the FA Community Shield on August 15 in Cardiff.

Aston Villa opened their preparations with a convincing 5-0 victory over Walsall. Unai Emery's side will also face Porto, Real Sociedad, Indonesia All-Stars, BG Pathum United, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Monchengladbach, while also taking on Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on August 12.

Manchester City will head to Asia, where Pep Guardiola's side will face Inter Milan in Hong Kong before matches against the K-League All-Stars and Atletico Madrid in Seoul. 

City will conclude pre-season against Arsenal in the Community Shield.

Manchester United have already suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wrexham in Helsinki. 

Ruben Amorim's side will also play Rosenborg, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Leeds United, and AC Milan before the new season.

Liverpool's summer includes friendlies against Sunderland in Nashville, Wrexham in New York, Leeds United in Chicago, before home matches against Monaco and Como.

Chelsea will spend pre-season across Australia and Asia, taking on Western Sydney Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur in Sydney, Juventus in Hong Kong, AC Milan in Jakarta, and Johor Darul Ta'zim in Malaysia.

Tottenham began their preparations with a 1-0 victory over MK Dons and will continue with matches against Auckland FC, Sydney FC, Chelsea, Getafe, and Hoffenheim.

Newcastle United opened with a 3-0 win over Darlington and will later face Valencia, Everton, and Bayer Leverkusen, among others.

Several clubs have already enjoyed strong starts, including:

Brighton defeated Wycombe Wanderers 4-1.

Everton eased past Dundee 4-0.

Nottingham Forest beat Notts County 2-0 and Blackburn 3-0.

Sunderland cruised to a 5-1 victory over York City.

Brentford edged AFC Wimbledon 3-2.

Crystal Palace opened with a 5-1 win over Swindon.

Meanwhile, newly promoted Coventry City will continue preparations with fixtures against Espanyol and Monaco, while Leeds United are scheduled to meet Wrexham, Sunderland, Liverpool, RB Leipzig, and Manchester United before the start of the Premier League season.

With several weeks of preparation remaining, clubs will use these friendlies to build fitness, integrate new signings, and finalize their squads ahead of the highly anticipated 2026-27 Premier League campaign.
