European Union (EU) has imposed a new package of sanctions against Russia in response to its military operation in Ukraine.
According to a statement from the European Commission, excerpts of which were reported by Sky News on Monday, the new sanctions include adding 52 vessels to the so-called "shadow fleet," accused of circumventing Western sanctions to transport oil, weapons, and grain.
The package also targets 84 individuals and entities, including seven individuals and Chinese entities, some of which are accused of supplying Russia with microelectronics components and drones.
