Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, said:"today we are witnessing elevating relations between Egypt and the European Union to a comprehensive strategic partnership, continuing: “This is a truly historical moment.”
She added during her speech at the Egyptian-European summit in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi: “We are witnessing a set of packages that include trade and investment in many fields... and we are presenting a package of 7.4 billion euros to Egypt in the coming years.”
