At a time when the regional war is intensifying, shaking the foundations of the Iranian regime and obliterating its military apparatus, the repressive authorities in Tehran have escalated systematic executions of political prisoners belonging to the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). This surge in violence is a desperate attempt to patch deep internal fractures following the death of Ali Khamenei, according to the daily briefing from the Iranian Mojahedin Monitoring Center.
The Center revealed that in late March 2026, the regime executed a group of "Mojahedin" activists, including Mohammad Taqavi, Akbar Daneshvarkar, Pouya Ghobadi, and Babak Alipour. These crimes sparked a wide wave of condemnation from Kurdish national forces. In a statement on March 30, 2026, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) condemned these executions, warning that the regime is exploiting the conditions of the external war to intensify repression and shut down the internet to isolate the people from the world. Similarly, the Secretary of the Kurdistan "Khabat" Organization sent a message to Mr. Massoud Rajavi and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, expressing condolences and emphasizing that these executions reflect the regime’s helplessness in the face of the Iranian nationalities' anger. The Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan also asserted that the regime is attempting to export its crises abroad and instill terror domestically to preserve its crumbling structure.
A strategic analysis of the scene indicates that the "Velayat-e Faqih" regime, living its final days after the absence of Khamenei, is seizing the opportunity of international preoccupation with the external war to achieve two goals: First, an attempt to create "forced unity" within its decaying apparatus by liquidating its opponents, specifically the PMOI, who represent its existential threat. Second, it aims to project a "false image of strength" to regional powers and its own demoralized ranks, suggesting it still maintains control. The Mullahs’ resort to executions at the height of the destruction of their military arsenal is not a sign of strength but a "political suicide mission," as described by Dr. Sanabargh Zahedi, Chairman of the Judicial Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). He emphasized that the regime, having lost its legitimacy and moved toward a "theocratic monarchy" with the installation of Mojtaba Khamenei, has nothing left but the machinery of repression after the collapse of its nuclear and regional projects.
Despite the atmosphere of the external war, the "Resistance Units" affiliated with the PMOI have not ceased their strategic strikes. While the public refrains from random street clashes due to the war environment, the "Resistance Units" are focusing on high-quality operations targeting Basij and intelligence centers. Over the past year, they carried out 4,092 operations and missions against repressive centers. The heroic operation conducted by 250 resistance cadres against Khamenei’s headquarters in the heart of Tehran on February 23 stands as a turning point, proving the presence of the Liberation Army deep within the capital and its ability to paralyze the regime’s joints at the decisive moment.
The Iranian Resistance, which has announced the formation of a Provisional Government headed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi based on the 10-point plan, affirms that the only solution for the region’s salvation is to strike the "head of the snake" in Tehran. While the external war destroys the Mullahs' military machine, the "Resistance Units" are preparing to complete the great national mission. They call upon the international community to end the policy of appeasement and recognize the right of the Iranian people to change the regime and establish a democratic republic that ends the era of "Crown and Turban" tyranny forever.
