Tunisian reports said on Tuesday that fans of Espérance Sportive de Tunis has physically attacked the players after losing to Al Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League.
The Red Devils snatched a 1-0 victory over the Tunisian club in the first leg to edge closer to qualifying to the final.
"Al Sabah news" newspaper said that the fans assaulted the players during their first training after losing to the Red Devils in the Champions League.
Al Ahly will host the Tunisian Club in the second tie later on Saturday at Al Salam Stadium.
According to the newspaper, the fans of the Tunisian team stormed the stadium and attacked all the players,
"Fans tried to Physically attack Hamdo El Houni, but Anis El Badry interfered to protect him before being assaulted," the Tunisian newspaper said.
