President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey stated that the Egyptian people show great interest in Turkish culture, adding, "We continue our efforts to strengthen our cultural and humanitarian bridges."
During a press conference with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Ankara, Erdogan expressed that the positive momentum in relations between the two countries will also reflect in the tourism sector.
He further stressed that the contributions of Turkey and Egypt to regional peace and stability are of utmost importance, saying, "we agreed in our meetings to establish regular consultations to resolve regional issues, particularly the Gaza issue."
Turkish President also emphasized that the situation in Palestine was at the forefront of his discussions with President El-Sisi, noting that both countries share a common stance on this matter.
He added, "Ending the genocide, achieving a permanent ceasefire as soon as possible, and ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid remain priorities."
Erdogan also expressed gratitude towards Egyptian authorities, especially the Egyptian Red Crescent, for their cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent.
He concluded, "Israel is adding a new crime to its record by preventing humanitarian aid from reaching those in need. The Israeli administration has failed to break the resistance by dropping thousands of tons of bombs, and now it is attempting to destroy the Palestinian people by subjecting them to hunger and thirst."
