Nezam Mirmohammadi, an Iranian lawyer, author, and expert on Iran and Middle East affairs, stated today that the firsthand accounts and reports emerging from behind the bars of Iranian prisons regarding the final moments of freedom's heroes represent a political and legal declaration of the moral collapse of the Velayat-e Faqih regime in the face of the will of the "Resistance Units."

Mirmohammadi said: "The events that unfolded in the prison corridors during the unjust implementation of death sentences against eight members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) constitute a legendary epic. Between March 30 and April 4, 2026, these combatants humiliated the mullahs' regime. The group of eight martyrs—including Vahid Bani Amerian, Abolhassan Montazer, Babak Alipour, Pouya Ghobadi, Mohammad Taghavi, and Akbar Daneshvarkar—greeted the gallows with victory smiles and chants of 'Allahu Akbar' that shook the foundations of Ward 4."

He added: "Engineer Vahid Bani Amerian recorded a historic defense before his execution at dawn on April 4, embodying the essence of resistance by refusing to compromise his principles for a life of humiliation, preferring martyrdom for the freedom of the Iranian people. Similarly, the handwritten letters of the brave martyr Babak Alipour, whose sentence was carried out on the morning of March 31, revealed the regime's total failure to break his spirit despite his physical injuries. He declared his commitment to 'Maximum Resistance' until his last breath, leaving behind words that serve as a beacon of steadfastness against the dictatorship."

Mirmohammadi continued: "Testimonies confirm that the executioners, led by the criminal 'Kamali, were trembling with fear in the presence of these giants. The martyr Akbar Daneshvarkar mocked the guards' terror as they led him to the gallows. We see the monumental spirit of Mohammad Taghavi, who assisted his comrades even while bound, Pouya Ghobadi, who faced death with a radiant face, and Abolhassan Montazer, who represented the greatness of marching toward martyrdom with his head held high. This proves that systematic oppression is no longer capable of curbing the momentum of change."

Mirmohammadi explained: "These immense sacrifices come at a time when the regime is drawing its final breaths following the death of Ali Khamenei and the erosion of the mullahs' military machine under the weight of the raging external war. The regime's resort to accelerated executions is a desperate attempt to cover its imminent collapse. It confirms that the 'Resistance Units' inside Iran have become the only force capable of filling the political vacuum and leading the country toward a democratic republic based on the 10-point plan announced by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi."

Mirmohammadi emphasized: "As a legal professional, I stress that these crimes, especially the execution of these eight heroes, will remain a mark of shame pursuing the regime's leaders in international courts. The blood of martyrs Vahid Bani Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer, along with their comrades, has permanently shattered the barrier of fear. It has proven to the world that the democratic alternative represented by the Provisional Government is the only choice to ensure the transition of sovereignty to the people, away from the illusions of past dictatorships or foreign interventions."

Mirmohammadi concluded his statement by saying: "These martyrs have triumphed over the gallows, turning them into a platform to announce the dawn of a new Iran. The Velayat-e Faqih regime effectively ended with the death of its head, Khamenei. These executions are nothing, but the final death dance of a regime defeated by the resilience of a people and the power of an organized resistance determined to reclaim its homeland."
