The Egyptian Professional Clubs’ Association (EPFCA) decided to postpone Al Ahly vs Eastern Company game in order for the Red Devils to prepare for the CAF Champions League final.

Al Ahly made their way to the final after a thumping 6-2 win on aggregate over Algerian side ES Setif in the semi-finals.

On the other hand, Wydad Casablanca managed to overcome Angola’s Petro Atletico de Luanda with a 4-2 victory to book a spot in the final.

Al Ahly will be eyeing their third consecutive title while Wydad will be aiming to collect their first Champions League trophy since 2017.

The game is scheduled to take place on the 30th of May, five days after Al Ahly’s clash with Eastern Company in the Egyptian Premier League.

In order to allow the Egyptian representatives to focus on the continental clash, the EPFCA decided to postpone the Eastern Company game to the 15th of June.

As the game will be taking place during the international break, the Reds will have to face Eastern Company without national team players.
