The English Football Association has confirmed that the England national team will play two international friendlies in March 2026 as part of their final preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Both matches will be held at Wembley Stadium.

England will first take on Uruguay on Friday, March 27, before facing Japan on Tuesday, March 31, with both fixtures scheduled for the same kickoff time.

These games represent the last opportunity for manager Thomas Tuchel to assess his squad before announcing the final World Cup roster in May.

Uruguay and Japan currently sit 16th and 18th in the FIFA World Ranking, giving the matches significant competitive value as the countdown to the World Cup intensifies.

The FA also confirmed that tickets for the two fixtures, England’s only home matches before traveling to the United States, are available through Wembley’s official website.

The World Cup draw, held last Friday in Washington, D.C., placed England in a group alongside Croatia, Ghana, and Panama.

According to FIFA’s official schedule, England will play its group-stage matches in Dallas, Boston, and New York/New Jersey.

The FA is also planning two additional friendlies in the United States ahead of the tournament’s kickoff, with details to be announced at a later date.
