Portugal defeated Spain in an intense penalty shootout (5-3), following a 2-2 draw in both regular and extra time.
Ronaldo scored Portugal’s second equalizer before being forced to leave the pitch due to injury. His teammates stepped up in the penalty shootout, clinching Portugal’s second-ever European title.

After Portugal scored the final, decisive penalty, Ronaldo couldn’t hold back his emotions and broke into tears of happiness.
Portugal triumphed in the UEFA Nations League, beating Spain 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regular and extra time. The final was held on Sunday evening at the "Allianz Arena" in Munich, Germany.
Spain’s first goal came from midfielder Martin Zubimendi in the 21st minute, before Nuno Mendes equalized for Portugal with a brilliant solo effort in the 26th minute. Just before halftime, in the 45th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal scored to give Spain a 2-1 lead.
In the 61st minute, Cristiano Ronaldo equalized for Portugal, capitalizing on a defensive mistake from Spain. However, he was injured shortly after and had to leave the field, with the game heading into extra time and then penalties.
In the penalty shootout, Portugal emerged victorious, claiming their second Nations League title in history.
