Netflix announced Monday that production has officially begun on the second season of “Emily in Paris” in French locales like Paris and St. Tropez.
The hit series features Lily Collins as a young woman who moves from Chicago to Paris to provide an American perspective to her marketing firm’s boutique agency, Savoir.
Collins gushed in a video posted on Instagram about how excited it was to return to the City Of Light.
“Annnd we’re back! Beyond excited to officially be back filming saison deux of @emilyinparis!! More to come. A LOT more!” she captioned.
“Emily In Paris” also includes Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Camille Razat, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Arnaud Viard.
The hit series premiered on Oct. 2, 2020, and reached 58 million households across the globe in its first 28 days, making it their most popular comedy series of 2020.
It also earned Golden Globe nominations in February, with Collins nominated for best actress – TV comedy/musical, and the show for best comedy or musical.
Season one of “Emily in Paris” was filmed entirely on location in Paris and throughout France.
During the 2019 filming, Collins made her relationship with writer/director Charlie McDowell Instagram-official. In September, the actress announced that she and McDowell were engaged and shared photos from the intimate proposal, which happened during a road trip in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
