International player Emam Ashour, the midfielder of FC Midtjylland, returned to Egypt after sustaining an injury that ended his participation for this season, the Danish club announced on Saturday.

The club added that the player will return to Egypt to start treatment with the head of the medical team for the Egyptian national team.

In addition, Ashour will be more supported by his friends and family around.

Last February, the Danish club announced the signing of the Zamalek's star for a reported fee of €2.76 million on Tuesday.

The Danish contract made Ashour Zamalek’s third-most expensive sale after Mostafa Mohamed’s and Mahmoud Kharaba.

After his signing, Mohamed Zidan sent a motivating message to Ashour, wishing him a glorious career with the Danish giants.
