After long weeks of speculation, the Danish Emam FC Midtjylland, officially, announced that the club's player Emam Ashour was sold to Al Ahly.
The club said in an official statement released moments ago on their official website, "FC Midtjylland and Al Ahly have reached an agreement on a transfer agreement that will send the 25-year-old national team player back to his home country."
FC Midtjylland Sporting Director Svend Graversen highlighted: "It has been a special process with Emam, who after a good start, unfortunately, suffered a bad injury."
Graversen added: "Of course, it upsets us that we cannot redeem Emam. He is a skilled player with great potential, but it is also an example of what can happen when you work with people. We have found a good solution with Al Ahly."
The club concluded the statement by wishing Ashour good luck with Al Ahly, without providing any further details about the deal.
Ashour's arrival to Al Ahly was teased weeks ago, and it was among the top trending sports topics in the region, along with Denmark.
