Emam Ashour etched his name into the history books by scoring the 250th goal of the 2026 FIFA World Cup during 2026 FIFA World Cup, in Egypt's Round of 32 clash against Australia.
Ashour found the net in the 13th minute, heading home a precise cross to give Egypt an early lead at Dallas Stadium in Texas.

The landmark goal came in a historic match for the Pharaohs, who reached the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history after defeating Australia 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time.
Ashour's strike not only gave Egypt the perfect start but also became a milestone goal in the tournament, marking the 250th goal scored at the 2026 World Cup.
Egypt will now face the winner of the Round of 32 match between Argentina and Cape Verde in the Round of 16.
