The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecast that Egypt will experience a slight rise in temperatures on Thursday, January 22, 2026, across most regions.
Weather conditions are expected to be cold during the early morning hours, relatively warm during the day, and very cold at night nationwide.
Dense fog is likely to form between 3:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. over northern parts of the country, extending to Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai. This may reduce visibility, especially on highways and agricultural roads.
Active winds are also forecast across most areas and may raise sand and dust, particularly along the northwestern coasts, the Western Desert, northern and central Upper Egypt, the Gulf of Suez, and exposed areas of the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and Canal cities. These winds could lead to temporary deterioration in horizontal visibility.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected over parts of the Western Desert, the northwestern coast, and the northern Delta. Light rain may also affect southern Delta areas, the Canal cities, Sinai, the Gulf of Suez, and could extend intermittently to parts of Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.
