EMA: Egypt to See Rainfall, Winds Throughout Week

On Friday, Experts of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) unveiled its forecast of more rain spells and wind activity that is predicted to hit Egypt from Saturday, January 16 to Thursday, January 21.

 

  • Saturday:

Light to moderate rain to prevail intermittently in Northwestern coasts, El Salloum, Alexandria, Marsa Matrouh, Rasheed, and Baltim.

Moreover, light rain to hit the north of Lower Egypt, El Beheira, Kafr El Sheikh, and Dakahlia.

On the other hand, winds are expected to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Northern Coasts, Central Sinai, the Canal cities, Northern Upper Egypt, and Northwestern coasts, disrupting maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea.

  • Sunday:

Light to moderate rain is predicted to hit the northern coasts at intermittent periods, while light rain will prevail intermittently in North Lower Egypt.

Winds are expected to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Northern Coasts, Central Sinai, the canal cities, Northern Upper Egypt, and northwestern coasts, disrupting maritime navigation in the Mediterranean sea.
