On Tuesday, Egyptian football star Mohamed Elneny signed a new contract extension with Arsenal, the UK-based club said in an official statement.

The club added in the statement that Elneny is now the squad's longest-serving player. He made 155 appearances with Arsenal in different competitions, scored six goals, and made 10 assists during his seven-year journey with The Gunners.

The Egyptian midfielder told the Arsenal official website after the signing: “I’m so happy, I love this club and our supporters so much and I’ll give everything to help us be the best we can be, every day I’m here.”

“It makes me so proud to have represented this amazing club since 2016. The spirit and togetherness we have in our squad right now is so positive and I’m so happy I have extended my contract," he responded to being the longest Arsenal serving player.

The extension is until June 2024.
