Elephants into Last 16 after Crushing Namibia (4-1)

The Elephants joined Group D rivals Morocco in the last 16 after they crushed to Namibia (4-1) in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ivory Coast forward Max-Alain Gradel opened the scoring through a lovely lifted finish over Brave Warriors' keeper Kazapua in 39 minutes.

Midfielder Serey Dié then doubled the scoring through a shot from the outside of the box in the 58 minutes. Namibia's Midfielder Joslin Kamatuka scored the first goal for the Brave Warriors in the 71 minutes.

Crystal Palace's forward Wilfried Zaha sealed the three points after he added the third goal for the Elephants through a drilled low finish from 15 yards. One-minute before the end, Maxwell Cornet confirmed his side's advance to the last 16 after he managed to add the fourth goal for the two-time AFCON champions.

Ivory Coast now have six points in the second spot behind Morocco.
