El Salvador’s Minister of Health Francisco Alabi revealed that a five-year-old child is the first case in the country to be diagnosed with Florona, media outlets reported on Friday.

Alabi affirmed that the child is receiving the proper treatment, noting that he hopes there will be a development in his/her health, according to the Argentine newspaper "Infobae".

Last December, Israel reported the first Florona case, in which someone is diagnosed with both Coronavirus and flu.

Beilinson Women’s Department staff said a woman, in her thirties, was released from the hospital in good general condition along with the baby. She gave birth in the 38th week of her pregnancy, according to a Beilinson Hospital statement

Officials affirmed that this is the first mother to be diagnosed with both influenza and coronavirus in Beilinson.

“We have been treating it with a combination of drugs that target both corona and the flu,” said Prof. Arnon Viznitzer, director of the Beilinson Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

“This is certainly a challenging time, and in addition to coronary heart disease, we are increasingly suffering from the flu,” Viznitzer added.
