According to reports, Egypt international midfielder Mohamed Elneny has successfully signed a new contract with Arsenal.
Elneny joined Arsenal from FC Basel back in 2016 and spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Besiktas.
Since arriving in London, he represented the Gunners in 147 games across all competitions, winning two FA Community Shields and an FA Cup.
With his current contract ending this summer, rumors emerged about Elneny potentially leaving the club in order to make a comeback to the Turkish Super Lig.
However, Elneny’s current form seems to have convinced Arsenal to keep him for another year or two as the two sides have been negotiating for a new contract.
