The 27-year-old Egyptian star is now in Antalya in a training camp with his Turkish club Besiktas as they are getting ready to resume their adventures in all the Turkish competitions after the winter break.
In August, the Egyptian star joined Besiktas on a season-long loan, including an option to make the transfer permanent,
Elneny, who joined Arsenal back in 2016 coming from FC Basel in a deal worth up to £5 million, failed to book his place in the Gunners’ starting eleven, especially since the arrival of new coach Unai Emery, who was sacked in November.
It is worth mentioning that El-Neny participated with the Pharaohs in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, but Egypt suffered a shock defeat from South Africa in the last 16 to exit the tournament.
He also led his national team to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, held in Russia, where he participated with Egypt in their three clashes in the group stage.
