Dr. Mustafa El Feqi, Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) received earlier Wednesday a delegation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to discuss ways of cooperation in the current and future projects.
Dr. El-Feqi affirmed that the library is keen to cooperate with the JICA in projects, especially the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
Moreover, the Japanese delegation pointed out the JICA’s role in the GEM project through offering technical support and transferring expertise linked to museums, shows, and excavation and restoration operations.
They stressed their keenness to enhance cooperation with BA, headed by Dr. El-Feqi, a member of the Board of Trustees of GEM.
At the end of the meeting, El-Feqi noted that BA is keen on offering full support to the JICA during the implementation of projects in Egypt.
