El-Ahly stomped ambitious side Beni Sweif 3-1 at the Cairo Stadium on Tuesday to qualify for the last 16 in this year's Egyptian Cup.

Walid Azzaro scored twice, while Ahmed El-Sheif netted once to give El-Ahly the win, awaiting the winner between Tersana and Enpi.

The Red Giants wasted their first major chance in the 16th minute after a good attacking game play from Alo Dyang and Hussein El-Shahat.

El-Ahly completely dominated the first half, but failed to turn their chances into a goal as the first half ended with neither team able to score.

Azzaro opened the scoring for the Red Team in the 67th minute after firing a thunderous shot from outside the box into the far right corner signaling the opening goal for El-Ahly.

A minute later, El-Sheikh made use of a beautiful pass from Dyanf to penetrate through the defenses of Beni Swef, going one on one with the goal keeper and scoring the double.

El-Ahly won a penalty in the 86th minute after Azzaro was tackled inside the box. Marwan Mohsen then proceeded to play the penalty but ultimately misplaced it.

Ahmed Abdelrazek depleted the score for Beni Swef in the 89th minute after firing a beautiful ball inside the box into the far left corner of Sherif Ekramy, who failed to make the save.

Azzaro closed the scoring for El-Ahly in the 92nd minute to cement their win and qualification.
