Eid AlFitr is right around the corner but unfortunately due to the coronavirus pandemic, we can’t celebrate it like usual. However, there is nothing stopping us from pampering ourselves at home. So, here are 4 homemade face masks for Eid.

1. Oatmeal Honey Mask

Crush up 1 tablespoon of oatmeal with 1 teaspoon of raw honey and ½ a teaspoon of water in a bowl before smoothing a thin layer over your face and leaving it on for 10 minutes.

Oatmeal has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and when mixed with antibacterial honey, it makes a great treatment for dry skin and dead skin cells.

2. Avocado Honey Mask :

Mix ½ a mashed avocado with 1 tablespoon of honey and leave it on your face for 10 minutes before washing it off.

Avocados are full fatty acids that soothe and moisturize your dry skin. And honey is a natural hydrator and astringent.

3. Greek Yogurt Mask

Mix 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt with 1 teaspoon of oatmeal and 1 teaspoon of honey in a bowl. Leave it on your face from 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

Greek yogurt is loaded with lactic acid that softens your skin and probiotics that soothe inflammation.

4. Matcha Mask

Blend 1 teaspoon of match green tea powder with 2 tablespoons of fresh aloe or aloe vera gel. Leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing off and moisturizing.

Matcha powder has anti-inflammatory and redness-reducing properties that help with itching and inflammation. While aloe vera is a natural soother and moisturizer.

We should all take the time to take care of ourselves physically and mentally, specially during these hard times. But most importantly Stay Safe and Stay Home!!
