Cairo – SEP 22 (SEE): Egypt and the US armed forces concluded the joint military exercises "Bright Star 2018," on Friday which were held in Mohamed Naguib military base from 8 to 20 September.
The “Bright Star 2018” exercises involved several military activities, joint trainings, decision-making skills as well as a number of scenarios for handling urgent and emergency circumstances on the ground.
The joint activities including several theoretical and practical lectures in the field of combating terrorism, methods of countering improvised explosive devices, and non-traditional shooting with live ammunition.
The naval forces also conducted exercises in methods to detect, neutralize and detonate underwater mines as well as scuba ping training.
The exercises also included a symposium for senior leaders of the countries participating in the training to discuss the topics of international terrorism and illegal migration.
