Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in Luxor received on early Sunday the first charter flight from France after the resumption of tourist flights to Egypt last July 2020.

The head of the tourism department at the General Authority for Tourism Promotion Iman Mahmoud said: “The plane, coming from the French capital Paris, carried 178 tourists landed on Sunday at the Luxor airport.”

Furthermore, the passengers were received by the public relations team of the authority at the airport with roses, tourism promotion posters, and flyers, amid adhering to the precautionary measures against the (COVID-19) pandemic.

It’s worth mentioning that Egypt's ambitious quarantine-free tourism experiment began Sunday night as a Spanish flight from Madrid carrying 114 passengers landed at the Luxor airport.
