Egypt's Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi along with the International Handball Federation President Hassan Mostafa and Hisham Nasr, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation were present at Qatar and Bahrain game Saturday in the main round of the World Handball Championship.
This came within the framework of the Minister of Youth and Sports keenness to attend the tournament matches and follow the tournament's regulatory and preventive procedures related to Coronavirus that are applied to delegations and teams participating in the tournament.
The Qatari handball team have achieved an important 28-23 victory over the Bahraini team.
Egypt hosts the World Handball Championship during the period from January 13 to 31, with the participation of 32 teams representing different countries from all over the world.
The Minister of Youth and Sports has also held a meeting via video conference technology with the heads of delegations and teams participating in the tournament, and managers of covered halls, to check on the application of health precautionary measures during the tournament.
