Sisi Celebrates International Day of Population

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday celebrated the International Day of Population, saying it is a great annual event that aims at rising awareness among all people of the world.

 

"The event is motivating people to exert all efforts at the international level to provide a decent life for everyone," Sisi posted on his official page on Facebook.

 

"Today we are celebrating together the International Day of Population, a great annual event aimed at raising awareness among all the peoples of the world of issues relating to population, health and the family," El Sisi said.

 

He noted that the Cairo International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), which was convened in 1994, has contributed to promoting the international efforts in the fields of reproductive health.

 

He explained that, increasing the people's awareness have a direct impact on the lives of the family and society and the provision of care and sound education.

 

"Today, on the 25th anniversary of the Cairo Conference, we reiterate the importance of exerting more efforts to make health a reality for all," El Sisi added.

 

He called for a comprehensive vision to overcome the challenges facing different countries in this regard at different levels of development.
