Egypt's permanent representative to the United Nations, Osama Abdel Khalek, spoke about the crimes committed by Israel against humanity in Gaza during his speech regarding Palestine's full membership in the United Nations.
He noted that the continuous violence by Israel will only lead to a generation of angry Arabs.
Abdel Khalek emphasized that the international community has the necessary tools to stop the brutal war in Gaza and urged member states to quickly grant the State of Palestine full membership. He also called for an end to the bloodshed of the Palestinian people.
The representative mentioned that Egypt is actively working towards achieving a ceasefire and providing aid to the Gaza Strip. He urged the international community to condemn any Israeli military operation in the Palestinian Rafah. He further stressed that Israel's actions have gone to the extent of killing United Nations employees and demolishing its facilities.
Ambassador Abdel Khalek concluded his statement by calling on the international community to put pressure on Israel to respond to the current mediation efforts.
