Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides described his meeting with Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly as “very productive,” highlighting the strength and depth of relations between the two countries.
According to the Cypriot president, the talks focused on ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and to advance cooperation in the energy sector, an area where both nations see significant opportunities for collaboration. The discussions also touched on enhancing ties between Egypt and the European Union, reflecting the growing importance of Egypt as a strategic partner for both Cyprus and Europe.
Christodoulides noted that he and Prime Minister Madbouly also exchanged views on regional developments, underlining their shared commitment to promoting peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and beyond.
The meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to deepen the partnership between Egypt and Cyprus, building on a history of strong diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties.
