Egyptians at home head to the polls on Monday and Tuesday for voting in the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections.

This electoral event represents a new embodiment of the regularity and continuity of the electoral process, and is considered one of the main manifestations of the stability of the political system in the country following the June 30, 2013, revolution.

These elections, which come just a few months after the Senate elections, affirm the cohesion and continuity of the parliamentary structure with its bicameral system, within the framework of a national vision aimed at consolidating political participation and expanding the scope of popular representation.

The elections are taking place across all governorates of the Republic under the full supervision of the National Elections Authority (NEA), which announced its complete readiness to ensure the integrity of the electoral process at all its stages.

Candidates are competing to fill 596 seats in the House of Representatives.

These seats are distributed through a combined system of individual and list-based voting, which ensures achieving balanced and fair representation for all constituencies and different social components in Egypt.
