Ma'an Natmaen "Together.. We are reassured" campaign has been launched in three new governorates; Menofya, Alexandria, and Suez, Heath ministry announced on Sunday.
The mobile campaign, launched under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, aims at helping citizens to register for the vaccine and be vaccinated on the same day.
Through its work in 15 governorates during the last week, the campaign has registered more than 50,000 citizens on the ministry’s website, a Health Ministry spokesman said in a statement.
On Saturday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 667 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 300,945.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 17,149 nationwide after the ministry announced 39 deaths.
About 789 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 254,060.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
