The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohamed Fahmy, Assistant Minister for Economic Affairs; Mr. Mohamed Amer, Head of the Central Administration for Hotel Establishments, Shops and Tourism Activities; and Mr. Ahmed Nabil, Minister’s Assistant for Aviation and Follow-up.

The Minister further noted that Egypt witnessed a remarkable 56.5% increase in Turkish tourist arrivals between January and July this year compared to the same period last year. He emphasized ongoing efforts to attract even more tourists from the Turkish market to Egypt.
He also reviewed Egypt’s current hotel room capacity, particularly in Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, and the North Coast, where NG Hotels has expressed interest in investing. He further highlighted Marsa Alam as a destination with strong tourism potential and promising opportunities.
For his part, Mr. Erkan Güral presented an overview of the Group’s business since its establishment in 2008, including the number of hotels it has opened across various tourist destinations in Turkey, as well as its future expansion plans. He expressed the Group’s keen interest in investing in Egypt, especially in the hotel sector, and confirmed its readiness to cooperate with Egyptian investors in this regard.
