Egypt's midfielder Tarek Hamed tweeted that he was sorry for the Egyptians after Pharaohs' defeat in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Also, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah wrote an apology to Egyptian fans on Twitter. “Very sad for our early exit from the African Cup of Nations .. We wished to complete the journey together and win the championship for our fans, which I need to thank for their usual support. We will hopefully learn from our mistakes, wishing the best for the team in the future.”
