At the headquarters of the National Islamic Affairs Administration in Bangkok, Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Egypt’s Grand Mufti and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, met with His Eminence Sheikhul Islam Arun Boonchom, Thailand’s Grand Mufti, along with senior scholars.
The meeting discussed avenues of cooperation between Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta and Thai religious institutions, particularly in fatwa studies, exchange of expertise, and the development of training programs aimed at preparing scholars to address contemporary intellectual and humanitarian challenges.
