The Central Bank of Egypt announced a decline in the value of gold reserves included in the foreign exchange reserves, falling to $19.188 billion by the end of March 2026, compared to $21.502 billion in February, marking a decrease of $2.3 billion.
Meanwhile, the value of foreign currency reserves increased to $33.097 billion by the end of March 2026, up from $30.690 billion in February, representing an increase of $2.407 billion.
The data also showed that Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) declined to $548 million by the end of March, compared to $556 million in February, a decrease of $8 million.
