Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Badr Abdelatty, held a phone call with Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, to inquire about his health following a recent surgical procedure.
During the call, Minister Abdelatty expressed his sincere wishes for Pope Tawadros’ full and speedy recovery, stressing his keenness to personally check on His Holiness and reaffirming his deep appreciation for the Pope’s national, spiritual, and unifying role within Egyptian society.
Pope Tawadros II, in turn, thanked the foreign minister for the thoughtful gesture, noting that the call reflected the strong human bonds, mutual respect, and spirit of goodwill that characterize Egypt’s national fabric.
