Egypt's Foreign Minister Samih Shoukri received a phone call from his UK counterpart James Cleverly on Thursday.
According to Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zaid, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, the two officials discussed bilateral relations between their countries in various fields and opportunities for developing them as well as a number of issues of common interest.
The recent developments in the Palestinian territories were also discussed, and the importance of working to de-escalate the situation, with the aim of reviving the political process towards the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
The phone call also dealt with bilateral relations, as well as the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis.
