Foreign Affairs Minister Sameh Shoukry on Tuesday received a call from his Norwegian counterpart Ine Eriksen Søreide. They discussed enhancing partnerships between Egypt and Norway and highlighted the regional developments and possible areas of cooperation, according to the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez.
Hafez revealed that the two officials hold several talks on bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
Shoukry expressed Egypt’s pride in cooperative relations with Norway’s government and positive developments between the two countries over common interests during his final phone call with Søreide, the Foreign Affairs spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the host of (AHLC) meeting Søreide invited his Egyptian counterpart to take part in what the media describes as the EU's only committee that serves as the principal policy-level coordination mechanism for development assistance to the Palestinian people.
It is worth mentioning that the AHLC institution, which is chaired by Norway and co-sponsored by the EU and the US, aims to promote dialogue between donors, the Palestinian Authority, and the Government of Israel.
