Egypt’s Foreign Minister and Minister of Immigration Badr Abdelatty travelled to Islamabad on Saturday, 29 November, for an official visit aimed at strengthening political and economic cooperation between Egypt and Pakistan.
During the visit, the minister is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior Pakistani officials to discuss ways to deepen strategic ties, expand economic partnerships, and exchange views on major regional and international developments. The discussions are expected to cover political coordination, investment opportunities, trade cooperation, and shared security challenges.
Abdelatty will also meet with representatives of leading Pakistani companies to explore new avenues for investment and joint projects, reflecting Cairo’s push to attract foreign direct investment and expand economic ties with Asian partners.
The visit comes as Egypt continues to broaden its international partnerships amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and South Asia, with both Cairo and Islamabad seeking closer coordination on regional stability, counterterrorism, and economic development.
