Egypt’s First Lady, Entissar El-Sisi, expressed her deep appreciation to Spain’s Queen Letizia after being awarded one of the country’s highest honors.
In a post shared on her official Facebook page, El-Sisi wrote: “Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain, I extend to you my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the distinguished honor you have graciously bestowed upon me. The honorary decoration you presented represents a profound privilege, reflecting your noble sentiments. I value this gracious gesture with the utmost respect and gratitude.”
The recognition came during an official exchange of honors in which King Felipe VI of Spain awarded President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi the Royal Collar of the Order of Isabella, while the First Lady received the same order.
The Order of Isabella, one of Spain’s most prestigious state decorations, is traditionally awarded to recognize extraordinary civil merit and the strengthening of diplomatic relations.
Diplomatic observers note that the dual honors underscore the growing ties between Egypt and Spain, particularly in areas of political cooperation, trade, and cultural exchange.
