Egypt's Embassy in Tripoli Succeeds in Releasing 90 Nationals Detained in Libya

Ambassador Mohamed Tharwat Sliem , Head of the Egyptian Diplomatic Delegation in Tripoli, the capital city of Libya, said that that today, Monday, ninety nationals who have been detained were in the headquarters of the Illegal Center in the city since Friday.

He added that the Egyptian Embassy, which has started its activities in May, succeeded in releasing the detainees in coordination with the Libyan concerned authorities.

Ambassador Sliem thanked Libya's Minister of Interior, other officials, and the local authorities for their efforts that mirror the strong relations between the brotherly peoples.

He indicated that most of the released people came from Minya Governorate, some 200 south to Cairo.
