Promising Egyptian Squash player Amina Orfi made a great surprise in the Singapore Open tournament, Sunday, after defeating the world's No.3 Hania El Hammamy 3-2.
The world's no.10 seed defeated El Hammamy by 9-11,1-11,13-11,9-11,11-9 in a 96-minute fight.
On Friday, Egyptian squash players Hania El Hammamy and Ali Farag advanced to the final of the Singapore Squash Open.
El Hammamy advanced to the final after defeating Belgium's Tinne Gilis 3-0 in the semi-final in a 34-minute game.
El Hammamy is expected to face Egypt's promising star Amina Orfi in a 100%-Egyptian final.
On the other hand, Farag advanced to the final after defeating Malaysia Eain Yow Ng 3-1.
Farag will face Diego Elias who advanced to the final after defeating Paul Coll.
On Monday, PSA announced the international ranking for the third week in December 2024.
For men, the top 10 rankings include the domination of Farag at the top of the PSA rankings, followed by Mostafa Asal.
For women, Nour El Sherbiny headed the international ranking and is still at the top of the world.
Nouran Gohar kept her place as the second, followed by Hania El Hammamy in the third place.
