Egypt's Amb. to Hungary Meets Orbán Viktor

Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán Viktor expressed his country's great appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

This came during a meeting between the Hungarian Prime Minister and Egyptian Ambassador to Hungary Mohamed El-Shennawy.

Ambassador El-Shennawy also met with Zsolt Semjén, the Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister, where they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and Hungary, as well as the developments of the Ukrainian crisis and related interactions within the framework of the European Union.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its official Facebook page that the deputy PM stressed the convergence of the Egyptian and Hungarian views on most issues, expressing his appreciation for the great role that Egypt plays in the Middle East region in preventing illegal immigration and combating terrorism; to consolidate the values of tolerance and moderation.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the essential role played by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Egyptian Church, stressing his aspiration for the Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayyib, and His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria, and the Patriarch of the See of St. Mark to visit Hungary.
