Egypt's Al Ahly Held to 2-2 Draw with Tanzanians Simba

On Friday, Al Ahly first football team opened its run at the first-ever African Football League with a draw with the Tanzian Simba at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.

The game was highly competitive, and Al Ahly wasted a number of dangerous attempts to hit the nets of the Tanzanians.

Before the end of the first half, Al Ahly's Rida Salim managed to score the first goal for the Reds after receiving an impressive kick from Mahmoud Kahraba.

However, Simba managed to revenge and hit the equalizer in 53:00 through Kibu Denis. After a few minutes, Simba led the game for only 3 minutes after scoring the second goal by Sadio Kanouti.

In 63: Al Ahly's Kahraba got the equalizer for the Reds.

During the rest of the game, both teams tried to thrash the nets of each other, but both failed.

Both teams will collide against each other once again in the second leg of the round in Cairo, next Tuesday.
