Egyptians in Kuwait Participate in Voting in 2024 Presidential Elections (Photos)

The Egyptian embassy in Kuwait witnessed a festive atmosphere and heavy participation as voting began in the 2024 Egyptian presidential elections for Egyptians living abroad.

Voters flocked to the polling stations, waving Egyptian flags and images of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Voters emphasized that their participation in the overseas Egyptian elections is a simple contribution to answer the call of their homeland.

It sends a message to the global public opinion that Egyptians, whether inside or outside Egypt, are committed to supporting the country's stability and continuing the comprehensive development process that is being felt even by members of the Egyptian diaspora in different countries around the world upon their return.

During the final hour, the number of voters increased at the Egyptian embassy in Kuwait. The voting process for Egyptians abroad in the 2024 presidential elections will continue until Sunday.

Voters made sure to bring their children along when casting their votes in the presidential elections, recognizing the importance of participating in the electoral process to support state institutions and solidify the pillars of the democratic system.

They carried Egyptian flags, support banners, and pictures of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Since the start of voting, the Egyptian embassy team in Kuwait has been working to overcome all obstacles for voters.

They clarified the correct voting procedures and the necessary requirements set by the National Elections Authority.

The final list of presidential candidates includes: Presidential candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi (symbol: the star), presidential candidate Farid Zahran, head of the Egyptian Democratic Party (symbol: the sun), presidential candidate Abdel Sattar Yamama, head of the Wafd Party (symbol: the palm tree), and presidential candidate Hazem Omar (symbol: peace).

The voting for Egyptians abroad in the 2024 presidential elections began on Friday and will continue for three days, ending on Sunday at 137 sub-committees located at diplomatic missions worldwide. Egyptian expatriates can vote in person at the embassy or consulate where they are located during the designated voting days and select their preferred candidate by placing their ballot in the designated box.

In case an individual casts their vote in one of the committees abroad and happens to be in Egypt during the 2024 Egyptian presidential elections, they are not allowed to vote more than once, whether inside or outside Egypt, according to the election law.
