Egyptians flood the streets to perform the Eid prayers

Egyptians flooded the streets this morning to perform the Eid prayers, also known as Salat al-Eid, the special prayer offered to commemorate two Islamic festivals.

The time of Salat al-Eid begins after the sun rise by almost an hour.

 

Big mosques and special places in each and every governorate were prepared to receive hundreds of people coming to perform the prayers.

 

In Cairo, one of the main places known to gather few thousands of people in this occasion is the wide area in front of Mostafa Mahmoud mosque in Mohandessen neighborhood.

 

In Alexandria, mosque of ‘Qa’ed Ibrahim’, typically, attract few thousands of people performing the Eid prayer.
